Aquatonic is a an architectural design practice, engaged in a wide variety of project types across a range of locations throughout the world. Our diverse experience covers a broad spectrum of cultural, climactic and socio-economic contexts. This has given us a nuanced understanding of the subtle shifts that are required to transform the act of building to the craft of architecture.

Whilst our core expertise predominantly focuses on residential and aquatic sectors we are comfortable in undertaking a diverse range of architectural and urban design work.

We have made a conscious decision to remain a boutique sized practice with a hands on approach to all projects big or small. Our practice has demonstrated the capacity to tackle large and enormously challenging projects. Large scale works are undertaken in collaboration with selected consultants with aligned approaches. This enables a focused and flexible approach to project delivery. We have a proven record with small scaled works where our hands on approach enables the delivery of highly considered and beautifully crafted architecture.

We promote high quality, practical design solutions that positively contribute. The client, the user, the context and the environment are all important considerations in our projects. And we seek excellent design outcomes for every project regardless of budget or scope and work towards collaborative outcomes with our clients and other stakeholders.

Over the past 17 years we’ve undertaken projects from Antarctica to the Sahara, for projects as small as a light fitting to as large as a city extension. We design, draw and communicate ideas using a variety of techniques from the humble pencil to virtual reality.
